Azim Painter

I have been doing painting work around Shaheen Bagh for a while now. My shop is over at F 12 Abdul Fazal Enclave Ii, right here in Jamia Nagar. It is mostly me and a couple of guys working on houses and apartments nearby. Okhla is a busy place, so there is always a wall that needs a fresh coat or some dampness that needs fixing. We do not do anything fancy, just show up with our ladders and brushes and get to work. Most days we are out at sites, so the shop might be quiet, but we are always around the neighborhood. I started this because I liked working with my hands and seeing a room look cleaner after a day of work. It is hard work, especially when the weather gets hot, but it pays the bills. People around here know me, and I try to keep things simple. We use whatever paint the customer wants, or we suggest what we have seen work well in these older buildings. Sometimes the walls are tricky, but we figure it out. If you walk past Shaheen Bagh, you might see us with paint on our clothes. That is just how it is. We are not a big company with fancy offices, just a local setup trying to do things right. It is a living. We keep our brushes clean and our prices fair. That is about it really. We just take it day by day and try to stay busy.
