You can find us in Jamia Nagar at 76/1. It’s a lively neighborhood and there’s always something going on outside our door. Asif Ali Architects is basically a small team working out of this space. We have a lot of books and old magazines about building and design piled up on the shelves. It’s not the tidiest office, but we know where everything is. Usually, the kettle is on and someone is complaining about the heat or the traffic. Jamia Nagar has a lot of character, and we like being right in the middle of it. Our office is more about the work than the appearance. We have a few big tables where we spread out our plans. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or ask a quick question. We don’t mind. It makes the day go by faster. We’ve been at 76/1 for a while now, and the walls are covered with sketches from past projects that we never bothered to take down. It feels lived-in. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just a front room and a back room where we spend most of our hours. If you’re looking for us, look for the door with the small nameplate. It’s a simple setup for a group of people who just like building things and don't care much for corporate polish. It works for us.
