Ashwani Rajaraja Foundation

Ashwani Rajaraja Foundation is based on the first floor of W-16 in Green Park. Green Park is a busy area, and being on the first floor means we hear a lot of the street noise, which actually keeps us feeling connected to what is going on outside. The office itself is pretty simple. We have some wooden desks that have seen better days and a couple of cupboards full of documents. We chose this spot because it is central and easy for people to reach. We are a small team, and we do not have fancy titles or a big board of directors. It is just us doing the daily work of running the foundation. Some days we are out in the field, and the office stays empty for a few hours. Other days, we are all crammed in here trying to meet deadlines. We do not use a lot of corporate talk because that is just not who we are. We prefer to speak plainly and get things done. The light in the afternoon is quite nice through the front windows. We have a few photos pinned to the wall from various things we have done over the years. It reminds us why we bother coming in every morning. It is a bit of a trek up the stairs, but the exercise is probably good for us. We mostly eat lunch at our desks while scrolling through our phones. Sometimes the neighbors come in to borrow a stapler or some tape.
