Arya Pet Clinic & Surgery

Our clinic is located in Khirki Village, right in the Saket area of Delhi. It’s an old house, number 166, that we turned into a place for animals. Because it is in the village area, the lanes are narrow and it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. We do a lot of surgeries here, so the back room is always set up with the lights and the metal table. It’s a small space, so we have to stay organized, though the paperwork on the desk usually looks like a mess. We have some cages for the pets that need to stay over for a night or two while they recover. You can hear the neighborhood sounds outside, children playing or the vegetable sellers calling out. The walls are painted a pale blue, and we have a few pictures of regular patients pinned up near the door. The sink in the surgery room leaks a tiny bit, so there is always a towel sitting there to catch the drips. We spend our mornings cleaning the floors and checking on the animals that stayed the night. It isn’t a high-end hospital, just a practical clinic where we work with whatever tools we have. Sometimes we get a bit tired after a long day of surgery, but we just lock up and come back the next morning.
