Architecture Design Ecologic Planning

Our workspace is located on the first floor of S-335 in Panchsheel Park. It’s a nice enough area with plenty of trees around, which is a bit of a change from the more crowded parts of the city. Architecture Design Ecologic Planning is basically a group of us who spend a lot of time leaning over drawings and looking at maps. The office is one large room mostly, with big tables that are always covered in rolls of tracing paper and pens. We don't really have a 'boss's office' type of setup; everyone just sits together. Climbing the stairs to the first floor is our daily exercise. We’ve got a few shelves stacked high with old project folders and books on planning that we occasionally look at. The light comes in through the side windows, which is great for when we're trying to figure out some tricky design detail. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. We wear comfortable clothes and sometimes there are half-eaten snacks on the tables. We talk a lot about how things should be built and what makes sense for a site. Sometimes we spend hours just debating a small point. It’s a lot of thinking and a lot of drawing. We just try to keep things simple and practical. People drop by for meetings, and we usually end up clearing a space on the table for their tea and biscuits. It's a busy but quiet life here.
