Anil Nimesh & Associates is located in the Alaknanda Complex, specifically L-1/285 B of the Kalkaji DDA Flats. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. You can hear the kids playing outside and the vegetable sellers calling out their prices in the afternoon. Inside, we’ve converted a few rooms into workspaces. There are bookshelves lined with thick law books and folders that are bursting at the seams. My chair has a squeak that I’ve been meaning to fix for months now. We usually have clients sitting on the sofa in the living area while they wait to see us. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but people seem to like it. We don't use much fancy tech, just a couple of reliable computers and a very busy photocopier. Usually, we are buried under stacks of papers, trying to make sense of some complicated regulation or another. It can be stressful when deadlines are close, but we usually just put on some music and keep at it. We know most of the people in the building, and we often end up chatting with neighbors in the hallway. It’s a decent way to work, being part of a community while getting our professional stuff done every day. It feels more personal this way.
