Anil Khera

My office is at A 324 on the Defence Colony Main Road, which is a place most people know if they live around here. Being on the main road means it is never truly quiet, with the sound of cars and the occasional honking always in the background. My name is Anil Khera and I’ve been working out of this space for quite a bit. It’s a convenient spot because people can find it easily, though the parking on the main road can be a total nightmare during the peak hours. Inside, it’s a pretty simple setup. I have my desk, a couple of chairs for whoever stops by, and a lot of folders. It isn't a corporate setup with a receptionist or fancy paintings; it’s just me and the work. I spend a lot of my morning just sorting through mail and getting through the stuff that piled up from the day before. The afternoon is usually when things get a bit more hectic with people dropping in. I like the neighborhood though, it has a lot of energy and you see all kinds of people walking past the windows. Sometimes the electricity acts up in the summer, but we manage with the backup. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, right in the middle of everything on the main road. We just do what needs to be done every day and try to keep things moving along.
