Anikra Foundation

Anikra Foundation is based on the second floor of B 4/229 in Safdarjung Enclave. It’s a bit of a hike up the stairs, especially in the summer heat, but it gets a nice breeze once you’re up there. We share the floor with a few other small businesses, so there’s always people coming and going. Our office is mostly one big room with a smaller cabin tucked in the back that we use for storage or when someone needs to make a private call. The walls have some marks from when we moved the heavy filing cabinets in, and we never got around to painting over them. We spend a lot of time just sitting around the main table, going over whatever projects are on the schedule for the month. Safdarjung Enclave is a nice area, but parking near the building is basically impossible after ten in the morning. We usually end up walking from a few blocks away. The tea stall at the corner knows our order by heart now, which is a nice touch. It feels very much like a community here, even if the work is just basic administrative stuff most of the time. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a sleek office, we just want a place that’s functional and close to home. It’s a bit messy, with papers everywhere and a printer that jams once a day, but it’s ours.
