Ambe Auto

Ambe Auto is located at Lawrence Road C-2/113A. We spend most of our time surrounded by parts and the smell of oil. Lawrence Road is a busy place with a lot of movement and we are right in the middle of it at C-2/113A. The shop is filled with all sorts of things for cars and bikes. It’s not the cleanest place because work like this gets messy pretty fast. My hands are usually stained with grease by lunchtime. We don't have a big fancy waiting room or anything like that. Most people just stand around and talk while we look at their vehicles. It’s a small space but we make it work with what we have. Sometimes the sidewalk gets crowded with the stuff we are working on. The days can be long especially when a job takes longer than we thought it would. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming to this part of Lawrence Road for years. It’s a loud area with constant honking and people shouting to be heard over the engines. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get people back on the road. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy. We open up early and don't head home until the work is finished for the day. There is always something to fix or a part to find for someone who is in a hurry.
