If you’ve ever spent time in Okhla, you know how busy Phase II can get. We’re over at Z-43, right in the thick of the industrial area. Allied Holdings Pvt. Ltd. has been based here for a while, and we’ve seen the whole area grow and get more crowded every year. The traffic in Okhla is something you just have to live with if you work here. In the mornings, the streets are full of workers and delivery vans. Our building is a typical Okhla structure—functional and built for work. Inside, it’s a mix of office space and storage. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. It’s more about having enough room for the files and the samples we keep on hand. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of the nearby factories, but we don’t really notice it anymore. We spend our days mostly on the phone or working through spreadsheets. Lunch is often something quick from one of the local vendors nearby. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t go in for big meetings or corporate speeches. We just handle what comes in and try to stay organized. It can be a bit chaotic when several deliveries arrive at once, but we manage to get through it. It’s just the reality of doing business in a place like Okhla Phase II.
