People see our trucks around Badarpur Street No 2 all the time. It is a busy spot, especially being so close to Sai Shanker School. We spend most of our mornings checking the ropes and making sure the blankets for wrapping furniture are clean. It is not an easy job. My back hurts some days from lifting heavy crates, but that is just how it goes when you are in the moving business. We started here because the location made sense for getting onto the main roads quickly. The shop isn't fancy. There are usually a few half-empty tea cups sitting around and stacks of old clipboards. Most days involve talking to people who are stressed about packing their lives into boxes. We just listen and get to work. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult. Rain is the worst because everything has to stay dry. We have had to wait out many storms sitting in the cab of a truck. The neighborhood knows us well. We see the same faces every morning when the kids go to school. It is a regular life here. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. Just a small place on Street No 2 where we keep our stuff and organize the next day's route. It is mostly about getting things from one point to another without breaking anything, which keeps us busy enough from sunrise until it gets dark.
