The shop is located at number 1 in the Abhishree Complex, right across from the Star India Bazaar on Satelite Road. It’s a busy spot, and there is always a lot of foot traffic passing by our front window. We start the day by pulling up the shutters and wiping down the glass displays. It’s a small place, but we have managed to fit quite a bit inside. We aren't one of those massive showrooms where you feel like you can't touch anything. It’s more of a local spot where people come in to look for a small gift or maybe get a chain fixed. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors who just drop in to say hi while they're out doing their shopping. The lights inside are bright so people can see the details of the pieces, but sometimes a bulb flickers and one of us has to climb a ladder to change it. We handle everything from simple repairs to showing different designs to couples who are getting married soon. There is always a bit of paperwork to do, mostly keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. It gets a bit crowded on weekends when everyone is out on Satelite Road. We just try to give everyone a fair amount of time without rushing them. It’s a steady kind of work and we enjoy seeing the same faces come back year after year.
