We’re over on Devli Gurudwara Road in Madangir. The number is 92, but people usually just look for the landmark. It’s a busy street, always noise from the traffic and people walking by. Our shop isn’t very big. We have just enough room for what we need and not much else. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. It hasn't always been easy. There are months where we wonder if we made the right choice, but then a new project comes in and we keep going. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. We do a bit of everything here. If it involves building or designing, we’ve probably tried it. We use whatever tools we have on hand. Sometimes we have to get creative when something breaks. The light in the shop isn't great in the evenings, so we try to finish the detailed work while the sun is up. We know the neighbors well. The guy at the tea stall knows exactly how we like our chai. It’s a community feel here in Madangir. We aren't looking to become a big company. We just want to stay busy and do honest work for the people who come to us. It’s a simple life and we like it that way.
