A K Decorators

A K Decorators is located over in Mandi Pahari Chattarpur. We are in that S-58 block of New Delhi. It's a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to these streets. The area is always crowded with delivery trucks and rickshaws trying to squeeze through. I’ve been working out of this space for some time now. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s more of a workspace where things actually get done. We have rolls of material leaning against the walls and tools scattered on the benches. My hands usually have a bit of glue or paint on them by lunchtime. The heat in Delhi during June is no joke, so the small cooler we have runs non-stop. Neighbors from the other shops pop in to chat about the local news or complain about the electricity going out again. It’s just how it is here. A K Decorators is basically a small team of us trying to get the orders ready on time. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them where Mandi Pahari is. It gets noisy with all the honking outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. When the sun goes down, the street food vendors set up nearby and the smell of spices fills the shop. That’s usually when I start thinking about heading home and calling it a day.
