Prothrapur is a bit away from the main hustle of the bazar, which we actually quite like. It feels more like a real neighborhood where people know each other. We aren't a high-rise hotel company with shiny uniforms. We’re just regular folks who decided to get into the hotel business here in the Andaman Islands. Our setup is pretty basic. We have a small office where we handle the books and talk to staff. A lot of our time is spent just making sure the daily tasks are finished. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather turns bad or when we're waiting for supplies to arrive from the mainland. We have a very hands-on approach. If something breaks, one of us is usually there trying to fix it or calling someone who can help us out. We don't use a lot of flowery language to describe what we do. We just run a hotel. It’s hard work and involves a lot of long hours, but we’re used to it by now. The office is often cluttered with receipts and spare parts, which is just how it goes when you’re actually working. We are just a local team doing our best to keep the business going in our part of town.
