Vaishnovi Traders

Vaishnovi Traders is based out in Port Blair, over in the Delanipur area. If you follow Delanipur Road, you’ll find us easily enough. Being in the Andamans is different from the mainland. Things move a bit slower, and we have to wait for the ships to bring in most of what we need. It can be a bit of a headache when the weather is bad and the boats are delayed. Our shop is a local spot where people come for their daily supplies. We’ve got a mix of things on the shelves, whatever people in the neighborhood are asking for. The humidity here can be really tough on the building, so there’s always something that needs a bit of paint or a repair. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us doing the daily work. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It’s a small community, and we like it that way. In the afternoons, when it gets really hot, we usually slow down a bit. The shop isn't fancy, just some sturdy counters and a lot of stock. We try to keep everything organized, but it’s a constant battle. It’s a good life here by the sea, even if the work is sometimes tiring. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
