Surya Travel Aids

We have been running Surya Travel Aids for a while now in Port Blair. Our spot is right opposite the Radha Krishna Temple in Junglighat. If you know this part of town, it’s usually busy with people coming and going. We handle travel stuff, mostly helping folks figure out how to get from one point to another in the islands. Living here in Junglighat, you get used to the humidity and the way the ships come into the port. It’s a simple setup we have. We spend most of our mornings just checking on bookings or talking to people who walk in off the street. Sometimes the temple bells are quite loud, but it’s a nice sound to work to. We don't have a big office with fancy lights. It is just a desk and some chairs where we sit and look at schedules. People come by asking about ferries or car rentals. We just tell them what is available and what isn't. It’s not always fast work, especially when the internet gets slow here. Most of the people we talk to are locals or visitors who got lost looking for the temple. We try to keep things straightforward. No one wants a long story when they just need a ticket or a ride. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. It's just us doing what we do every day.
