Maa Annapurna Traders

We are located at 4, Mohanpura, which is in South Andaman. Living and working here is a bit different than on the mainland. Everything we have in Maa Annapurna Traders has to come in by ship, so we are always checking the schedules at the port. The shop is a plain building, nothing special to look at. We provide things that the local families and the small guesthouses around here need. Some days it’s very quiet, especially when it’s raining hard and nobody wants to walk through the puddles. Other days, we are rushing to unload a new delivery. I spend a lot of time on the phone making sure our orders are actually on the boat. We don't have a huge variety of stuff, but we try to keep the essentials. My uncle helps me out during the busy hours. We’ve lived in Mohanpura all our lives, so we know everyone who walks through the door. The salt air makes the metal shutters a bit rusty, so I have to oil them every few weeks. It’s a simple business. We don't have any big goals of expanding or anything like that. We just want to keep the shelves full and make sure the prices are fair for our neighbors. It’s a bit isolated out here in South Andaman, but we like the pace of life. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
