Island Vinnies

Island Vinnies is based out of Beach No 3 on Havelock Island, though we have our connection to the Phoenix Bay area in Port Blair too. It is a very different pace of life out here on the island compared to the main town. Most of our days are spent near the water or talking to people who are here for the beaches. We are not a big corporate outfit, just a group of people who like the island and help others see it. The office is more of a meeting spot than a formal business room. It is often sandy and we wear casual clothes because of the heat and the sea. We deal with diving, stays, and just general island travel. It is not always organized perfectly because things change with the tides and the shifting weather. We have some local staff who have grown up around these waters. We do not do much in the way of big promotions; people usually find us by walking along the beach or hearing about us from others they meet. It is an honest, simple way to live and work. We spend a lot of time fixing gear or checking on the boats. Life moves slowly here, and we like it that way. We just try to make sure people have a decent time while they are visiting Beach No 3. It is a lot of manual work and being outdoors most of the time every day.
