Shefali Solar Service

We are based in Hiranmaypur, which is located in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It is quite a distance from the main city area, so life moves at a different pace out here. At Shefali Solar Service, we focus on providing solar solutions to people in our local community and the surrounding villages. Many of the places we work in have trouble with the main power grid, so what we do actually makes a difference for them. Our workplace is more of a workshop than a formal office. We have solar panels leaning against the walls and kits ready to be taken out to the field. We spend most of our days traveling on local roads to reach different sites. The roads can be very bad during the rains, which often makes our work take longer than planned. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or by seeing our work in another village. We are just local people who have learned the trade. We sit down with our customers, have some tea, and talk about what they need for their homes or small shops. It is a very simple way of doing business. We are not looking to be famous or huge. We just want to make sure we do a decent job so the lights stay on.
