If you’re looking for us, you’ll have to head out toward New Town and find your way to Village Mohammadpur. We are located care of Lal Mohammad Molla’s place. It’s a bit different than being in the middle of the city since it’s much quieter out here in the South 24 Parganas area. We’ve got our setup in a practical space that suits what we do. Kamdampukur is the post office nearby, so that’s how the mail gets to us. Being out here means we don’t have to deal with the crazy Kolkata traffic every single morning, which is a nice change of pace. Our work keeps us busy with local builds and planning things out for the land around here. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. You won’t find any marble floors or glass partitions in our office; it’s more about wooden desks and stacks of blue prints. We know the people in the village and they know us, which makes things feel more personal. Some days it’s just the sound of the birds and the occasional tractor going by. We don't have a PR team or anyone to write fancy letters for us, so what you see is basically what you get. It’s a simple operation run by people who grew up around here and know the soil. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay organized.
