Our office is tucked away in Bansdroni over at Northern Park. If you know the Kolkata area you know that B-1/1 is not too far from the main road but quiet enough to get work done. Most of the staff here at Volvo India Pvt Limited takes the metro and then walks the rest of the way because the traffic gets really bad in the afternoons. The building has that classic Kolkata look with the big windows and the way the stairs are built. We have been here for a bit now and the locals are used to seeing us coming and going. Sometimes when it rains the street gets a little muddy but that is just part of living in this part of the city. We spend most of our time at the desks or in the small meeting room at the back. It is not like those big corporate offices you see in films where everything is glass and steel. This is more of a practical space where we can actually sit down and focus on the tasks at hand. There is a small tea stall just around the corner where we usually go for a break. It is a simple place but it suits us well for the work we do in the district. We don't bother with fancy decorations much because we are too busy keeping things moving. It feels like a real neighborhood office here.
