Tiru Coal Projects Limited

We are based out in Pujali, which is a bit of a way from the main parts of Kolkata. It’s a village area, and that’s where we handle our coal projects. The work we do is pretty heavy and involves a lot of outdoor activity. Our office in the village is where we keep track of the shipments and the workers. It’s a practical setup, not something you’d find in a city skyscraper. We spend most of our time dealing with the logistics of moving coal and managing the sites. The air out here is different from the city, and the pace of life is a bit slower until a big truck needs to be moved. We’ve been in West Bengal for a long time and know the land well. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust and the work can be physically demanding for everyone involved. We don't have a lot of corporate rules; we just expect everyone to do their part. Sometimes the rain in Bengal stops everything for a day, and we just have to wait it out. It’s just us and the coal, trying to make sure everything gets to where it needs to go. We’re part of the local scene in Pujali and everyone around here knows what we do. It’s a long road from here to the city center, but we like it this way. Our days are long, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the trucks loaded up and ready to head out.
