You can find Techno Electric & Engineering Co. Ltd. right opposite the I.M.A. Hall in Baruipur. We operate out of Radhamohan Vila, which is a building that has a lot of character, mostly because it has been around for a long time. Krishnendu Das is usually around somewhere, likely buried under a pile of paperwork or talking to a technician about a tricky part. Baruipur is a place where things move at their own pace, and our office reflects that. We deal with electrical and engineering stuff constantly, so there is always a smell of grease or the sound of something being tested. The villa stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the Kolkata streets outside. We have a small staff, and everyone knows their role inside out. Sometimes the office feels more like a workshop than a business place. We have cables and tools sitting on the spare chairs more often than not, so guests have to be careful where they sit. Being near the I.M.A. Hall makes it easy for visitors to find us, though we don't get many random walk-ins during the week. Most of our day is spent focusing on the technical side of the projects we have on our plate. It is honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. The rainy season usually brings some minor leaks in the roof, but we just put a bucket down and keep moving. It is just the way things go here in West Bengal.
