Sweep Real Estate Pvt. Ltd. is based out of the Nohazari Grampanchayat area. Our office is in the post office region of Raspunji, which falls under the Bishnupur police station. It is a bit out of the main city, so things move a little slower here. We focus on land and homes in this local part of the district. Most of our day is spent meeting people from the village who have some land to sell or are looking for a small house. We aren't some big, shiny company even though our name has Pvt. Ltd. at the end. It’s just a couple of us in a room with some old desks and a lot of registers. We know every corner of Raspunji and who the families are. We don't bother with expensive ads or big billboards. Most people just hear about us from their cousins or neighbors. Sometimes the roads are muddy and it’s hard to get out to see a plot of land, but we go anyway. We try to explain the legal parts of property in plain English or the local language because it can get confusing for everyone. It’s a lot of waiting for papers to get stamped at the panchayat office, but that is just how it works here. We are just local people trying to make the process a bit easier for our neighbors in Bishnupur. It is a quiet life but we stay busy.
