You can find us over at R.K.Pally in the Sonarpur area of Kolkata. We have our setup on the Mank Plot, which is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city center. Our pin code is 700150. It is a typical Kolkata neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else’s business. At Simplex Infrastructures Limited, we use this space mostly as a base of operations for our local projects. The office is not very big, just a few rooms where we keep our files and computers. In the afternoons, it gets quite humid, so the ceiling fans are always going at full speed. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with site managers and suppliers. Sometimes the road outside gets a bit muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks to get close, but we manage. We are just regular people doing a job that involves a lot of dirt and heavy machinery. There is usually a pot of tea on the go and someone is always coming in with a new set of problems to solve. It is not a shiny corporate environment by any means. We have got old wooden desks and cabinets that have seen better days, but they hold all the important documents we need. It is a steady place to work and we like the local feel of the Pally.
