You can find us at the Sunila Apartment in Kolkata, specifically on the second floor at D-2. The building is number 27 in Gangapuripurba Putiary. It is a residential kind of area, so the office feels a bit like a home sometimes. We have the usual desks and chairs set up for the Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd staff. Working in Kolkata means dealing with the humidity and the busy streets, but once you get up to the second floor, it’s a bit more relaxed. We have a balcony where we can see the street below and watch the local traffic. Most of us take the bus or the metro to get here. We spend our hours filling out reports and talking to project managers on the phone. The office is often full of the sound of printers and people typing away. We keep a stash of biscuits and tea bags in the cupboard for when we need a break. It is an honest place to work. We don't have any corporate slogans on the walls. It's just calendars and maybe a few photos of projects we've worked on. The neighbors in the apartment building are friendly enough. We try not to make too much noise when we are leaving late in the evening. It’s a good spot for us to manage our corner of the business. We focus on the practical side of things and try to keep everything organized despite the constant paperwork.
