Schenck Process India Ltd

We are situated in Sonali Park, which is in the Bansdroni area of South Kolkata. It’s a crowded neighborhood with narrow lanes and houses built very close together. Our office is in house D39. It’s basically a converted flat on the ground floor. It can be a bit dark inside, so we have the lights on even during the day. We are part of the process engineering side of things. Most of the work involves sitting at computers and looking at technical drawings. Outside, you can hear the rickshaws and the daily bustle of the local market. The metro station isn't too far away, so some of us take the train to work. It’s a typical Kolkata setting where everyone knows what their neighbors are doing. We have a small kitchen where we make tea and heat up our food. The walls are covered with calendars and some old charts. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. When it rains heavily, the street outside sometimes floods, and we have to wade through water to get to the main road. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who have been working together for a long time. We talk about football and the local news during our breaks. It’s a very plain and simple office life. We just keep our heads down and finish our tasks before the evening commute begins.
