Sambhabana Enterprise

You can find us over on Garia Station Road in Kolkata. We share the space with Dilip Naskar’s place, it's a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes but it works for us. Being near the station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. We started this enterprise because we wanted to do something for ourselves. It’s not a big fancy operation. We have a few tables and some chairs where we sit and handle our daily business. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just life in this part of town. We handle whatever comes our way, mostly small orders and local stuff. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know each other well. Kolkata is a place where you have to be patient. We try to be honest with everyone who walks through the door. If we can’t do something, we say so. No point in making promises we can't keep. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We just focus on the work on the desk. Every day is a bit different, and that’s fine by us. We like the rhythm of Garia Station Road. It feels like home.
