S. R. Polymer is out in Sahararhat, near Falta. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the city, but it’s where we’ve always been. The air is a little different out here compared to the crowded parts of the district. We work with plastics and polymers, which means the shop is usually filled with the sound of grinders and the heat of the machines. It can get pretty loud, so we’ve all learned to talk a bit louder than most people. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. If you walk in, you’re likely to find one of us covered in dust or checking a temperature gauge. The building has been here for a long time, and you can see it in the walls. We’ve had to patch the roof a few times after the heavy monsoons. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any stretch of the imagination. We just focus on making the batches correctly. Sometimes the raw materials are late because of the traffic on the main road, but we adjust our schedule. We know the local shopkeepers and the tea stall guy around the corner quite well. It’s a tight-knit community here in Falta. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the stuff we produce is solid and that we can keep the lights on for another month. That's how we spend our days.
