We are based in Village Padmapukur, which is under the Khaiyamara post office. It’s out here in the 24 Parganas South district of West Bengal. Life is a bit slower here than in the big city, but we like it that way. Our little business, Rs, is something we started to help out with local needs. We don't have a big office building, just a small space where we keep our tools and records. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or at different sites around the village. If you come looking for us, just ask for the place near Khaiyamara. Everyone knows everyone around here. It’s a family-run thing, mostly. We handle whatever tasks come our way. Sometimes the rain makes the roads difficult, so we might be a bit slow getting to the next village, but we always show up. We use simple tools and do things the way they've been done for years. There’s no fancy talk here. We just work hard and try to make a living for our families. My cousins help me when there’s a lot to do. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now. It’s home for us. We don't plan on moving anywhere else. Just staying here and doing our bit for the neighborhood. It is a quiet life, but it suits us just fine.
