You can find us over at the Kolkata Leather Complex. Pragati Vinamay Pvt. Ltd. is located in Zone 10, specifically at Plot No.- 907. If you’ve ever been to the complex, you know it’s a massive place dedicated to everything leather. The smell of the hides and the sound of the machinery is everywhere here. Our plot is just one of many, but we’ve made it our own over the years. We spend our time dealing with the business side of things, handling transactions and moving goods around. It’s a very industrial environment. There are no parks or quiet spots nearby; it’s all about production and trade. Our office is right there on the plot, and it’s usually filled with the sounds of people talking and papers moving. We work closely with the other units in the complex because everyone is doing something related to the same industry. It’s a busy, gritty kind of place to work. You have to be okay with a bit of noise and a lot of activity. We don't have any polished marketing or a big sign. We just have our plot number and our name on the wall. We stay focused on the leather trade and making sure our part of the process runs smoothly. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady and it keeps us busy from morning until night. We just get on with it.
