One Way Welfare Foundation

We are located at 961 Naskarhat, specifically in Flat 1 on the first floor. This is in the 700039 area of Kolkata. It is a residential neighborhood mostly, so it feels very much like a home. The flat is on the first floor, which is easy for most people to get to. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist at a big desk. It’s just a door that leads into our workspace. Inside, there are a couple of rooms where we keep all our things. The walls are a pale color and there are windows that look out onto the street below. Naskarhat can be busy, but it’s not like the city center. You get people selling vegetables and neighbors chatting outside. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day. The furniture is just standard stuff—desks that have been around for years and some plastic chairs for when we have visitors. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is here at once, but we manage just fine. We like being in a regular flat because it feels more grounded. You don’t feel like you’re in a cold corporate building. It’s just a regular place where regular people come to get things done. We spend a lot of time here and the atmosphere is quite relaxed despite the work we do.
