We are tucked away in the Natun Diara area of Nayabad in South Kolkata. It’s a neighborhood that still feels quite residential even as more buildings go up around us. Our workspace is pretty modest and doesn't stand out much from the other houses and shops on the street. We’ve been working from here for a while now, doing our bit every day. The lanes around Natun Diara can be quite narrow, and sometimes the delivery vans have a hard time getting through. Inside, things are a bit cluttered with our supplies and paperwork, but we manage to find what we need eventually. We don't have a reception desk or a fancy sign out front. Most people who come to see us are locals who know exactly which door to knock on. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building quite hard, so it gets a bit warm inside. We usually have some tea around four o'clock and chat about what needs to be finished before the day ends. Kolkata can be a loud city, but our little corner is usually peaceful enough once you get off the main road. We don't really do any big promotions or use professional language. It is just a few of us working together to keep the business going. We like the pace of life here in Nayabad. It’s home for us and our work.
