We’ve been here at 69, Topsia Road for a good while now. Most mornings start early with the smell of treated hides and the sound of machines running in the back. It’s a busy part of the city, and we’re right in the middle of it. We spend our time checking through rolls of leather, looking for marks or patches that don't quite look right. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered because there's always something being moved or packed up for a client. People walk in and out all day, and we try to keep up with what they need without making a big fuss about it. Working with leather is messy work, honestly. Your hands get stained and the air is thick, but it’s what we do here at Leather King. We aren't trying to be fancy or anything like that. Just a bunch of us making sure the orders go out when they should. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through scraps or talking to the delivery guys. It’s not a quiet place, but it works for us. The building has seen better days, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s not about being the biggest, just about doing the job right so we can go home at the end of the day.
