Larsen & Toubro has an office here at 172/9 on Picnic Garden Road in Kolkata. The pin code is 700039. It is a very busy street with cars and rickshaws going by all the time. Our building is just one of many along this stretch. It is a bit old, and you can see the wear and tear on the walls, but it’s sturdy enough for us. We occupy the 172/9 spot and it’s where we do all our daily business. There isn't a fancy reception area with a person waiting to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever you need to talk to. We have a lot of paperwork and some older equipment lying around. It’s not a shiny new office. It’s a place where people actually work. Picnic Garden Road is a well-known area in Kolkata, so finding us isn't too hard for most people. The neighborhood is full of life and it can get pretty loud during the day. We are used to the noise though. It is just part of being in this part of the city. We don't use big words or have complicated goals we talk about. We just show up, do the jobs that need doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a very grounded way to work. We like being part of the Kolkata 700039 community because everything you need is just a short walk away. The tea is good nearby too.
