Kharga Army Pre Primary School

Down at 143/74 Picnic Garden Road, you will find our pre-primary school. It’s tucked away in the Tiljala area. Since we are a pre-primary, we deal with the very little kids who are just starting out. The atmosphere is usually a bit chaotic with all the toddlers running around. We try to keep things structured because of the army background, but kids will be kids and they often make a mess. The walls have colorful stickers and some old posters on them to make it look a bit more cheerful for the children. Outside on Picnic Garden Road, the traffic is always moving, but once you step inside our gates, it feels a bit more secluded. We have some basic play equipment like a small slide and some swings in the corner that the kids love. The teachers spend a lot of time helping the children with their snacks and making sure they don't lose their water bottles. It’s a practical place, nothing too decorative or expensive. The rooms are a decent size and we keep them as clean as possible given how many kids are playing on the floor. Most of our students come from the nearby quarters or the surrounding Tiljala neighborhood. We don’t have a big fancy office; usually, the head of the school is just sitting in a room near the front door. It’s a place where children learn to play together and sit still for a few minutes. We just take it one day at a time here at Kharga Army Pre Primary School.
