Jagannath Enterprise

Jagannath Enterprise is located in Vivekananda Nagar, within the Sonarpur area. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you aren't from this side of town. The address we use is Postp.S.- Sonarpur, Dist-, which helps the mail get to us eventually. The streets are a bit narrow and can get quite muddy when it rains. Our place is a simple one-story building. We’ve been here for quite a few years, and the walls show a bit of age. There is a small porch out front where I sometimes sit when the shop is empty. You can see the neighbors going about their business. Most people in Sonarpur are friendly and will give you a nod as they pass. Inside, the space is filled with our inventory. It’s not particularly neat, but there is a system to where things are kept. I have an old wooden chair that creaks every time I sit down. The desk is covered in notebooks where I write down the daily sales by hand. We don't use much technology here. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. My wife brings me lunch in the afternoon, and we sit together for a bit. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. Word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s a quiet life in Vivekananda Nagar, and we are happy with how things are. We just take each day as it comes and try to be fair with everyone who visits us.
