Holos Healthcare Foundation

We operate the Holos Healthcare Foundation from our place at 12/1A/58 Chowbhaga Road in Tiljala. It’s a busy part of South 24 Parganas, and our office is right in the middle of a very lively neighborhood. Finding the entrance requires a bit of focus on the door numbers because the building is somewhat hidden. Inside, boxes of medical supplies and stacks of pamphlets usually clutter the floor. Nobody here cares about having a fancy interior designer. We simply move things around until a chair becomes available. Much of our day is spent coordinating healthcare efforts, which involves logging data and chatting with local families. You won't see anyone wearing a tie in this office. Being in a rush is the normal state of things here while we prep for tomorrow. Because traffic on Chowbhaga Road gets so bad, our days often start before the sun is fully up. Living and working in this spot for years means most of the neighbors are now familiar faces. A few staff members who have been here forever handle everything from the front door to the tax filings. No big corporate sponsors back us; it is just us doing the work day by day. Things get chaotic, but that is fine. Keeping our heads down and staying busy is what we do best. It is a bit cramped, but we make the most of the space.
