Himmat Foundation

Himmat Foundation is located at 52 Barrack on Barrackpore Road. This specific area has a long history, and you can see that in the older walls of our building. It is a solid, sturdy place. Instead of a modern glass tower, we work out of a traditional setting that feels like the rest of the neighborhood. Inside, the rooms can be a bit drafty when it is cold, but a few old fans keep us cool enough in the summer. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who come in from all over North 24 Parganas. There is a constant stream of visitors coming and going. High-end equipment isn't something we have much of. We make do with what is available and keep the projects moving. Since most of us have lived in Barrackpore for a long time, we understand the local streets well. You won't find a corporate environment here. Casual clothes are the standard because that is what makes us comfortable. Sometimes the pile of paperwork feels like it might win, but we always manage to catch up eventually. Being situated on Barrackpore Road makes it easy for locals to drop in. There are no acts or pretenses in this office. If you walk through the door, you see exactly how we operate, with files stacked on every available surface and everyone busy on their task.
