Khursheed Hardware

Khursheed Hardware is located right by the Fruit Mandi in Sopore. It's a very busy area, especially when the fruit season is in full swing. You can hear the shouting of the traders and the trucks coming in from all over Baramulla district. We are in Sorore Taluk, and being near the Mandi means there is always something happening. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things like hammers, nails, pipes, and whatever else the local builders or farmers might need. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for in the back, but we usually have it. The smell of the fruit from the market mixes with the smell of metal and oil in our shop. It's a local place, so we know many of the people who come in by their first names. We don't do any big advertising; people just know we are here near the Fruit Mandi if they need a tool or some hardware. In the winters, it gets quite cold in Sopore, so we sit around a small heater in the shop and wait for customers to stop by. It’s a simple life running a hardware store in this part of Baramulla. We just try to keep the shelves full and help out the neighbors when they have something to fix at home.
