Shree Hanuman Store

Shree Hanuman Store is located in Chardwar, right near the Forest Gate in the Sonitpur district. It is a bit of a unique spot to have a business because we are so close to the edge of the woods. You can often hear the birds in the trees and see the thick green forest right from our front door every morning. The shop is a simple, sturdy building where we keep all the essential things that people living in Chardwar might need for their daily lives. Because we are situated so close to the Forest Gate, we get a lot of people passing through on their way into the forest or coming back out after a day of work. It is a quiet and slow life for the most part. We open up the heavy metal shutters early in the morning and we usually stay until the sun goes down in the evening. We do not have any big-city ideas or complicated systems for how to run a store. We just have simple wooden shelves stocked with basic things like tea, local snacks, and common household items. The dust from the passing road often settles on the counter, so we are always wiping it down with a cloth. We have been a part of this small community for many years. Most of our regulars are the people who live nearby or work for the forest department. We know which things they like.
