If you head over to Ambagan in Tezpur, you’ll find us at the Madhubon Bakery spot. It’s House Number 00, right with Minati Pathak. We are a food business, mostly busy with the baking and keeping the ovens going. The smell of bread is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a hot job, especially in the middle of a Sonitpur summer, but you get used to the heat after a while. We aren't some high-tech factory. We use our hands for a lot of the work. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic in the mornings when we are trying to get everything out on time. Sometimes a tray gets burnt or we run out of flour, and we just have to deal with it. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We are just a group of people who like to bake and have been doing it for a good while now. The floors are a bit worn down from all the walking back and forth. We stay busy from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s a local place through and through. We know the people who come in and they know us. There isn't much more to it than that. Just hard work, a lot of flour, and making sure the ovens stay at the right temperature.
