Bettybari Tea Estate

We are located in the Darrang area, specifically near the Majbat police station. Our place is part of the tea landscape here, and we’ve been around for quite a while. The work is mostly about managing the land and seeing how the plants are doing throughout the seasons. It isn’t always easy, especially when the rain doesn't come when it should, or if it comes too much all at once. We spend our days out in the fields or near the processing area where the leaves get dried. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning; we’re usually out where the action is. People around Majbat know us as a regular fixture of the community. We use the local post office for all our mail and documents. The atmosphere here is usually quite peaceful, aside from the usual sounds of the estate and the nearby station. We don’t do any big advertising or try to sound like something we aren't. We are just people who grow and sell tea. It’s what our families have done, and it’s what we know how to do best. Every batch is a little different depending on the weather, but that’s just how nature works. We just try to do right by the land and the people who drink our tea. It is a lot of hard work but it is worth it.
