Bajrang Store

You can find Bajrang Store in Sopai village. We are right near the Thirty Bed Hospital in the Dhekiajuli Tehsil area. Being so close to the hospital means we see a lot of different people every day, not just the folks who live in the village. Doctors, nurses, and families of patients are always coming in to grab something they forgot. I opened this shop because there wasn’t much else around here at the time. We sell a bit of everything, like snacks, soap, pens, and basic groceries. The village life is slow but the shop keeps me on my feet. I usually open up early in the morning before the first bus comes through and I don’t close until the sun is well down. My cousin helps me out during the busy hours when the hospital shifts change. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything. It is just shelves filled with whatever people might need in a hurry. Dhekiajuli is the nearest town so I have to go there once or twice a week to get new stock for the store. The road can be a bit rough during the monsoon season but the trucks usually make it through. It is a simple place where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and making sure the tea is hot for anyone who stops by.
