Upchaar-The First Line Healthcare Foundation. We are set up in Vpo Teha, Ganaur. The easiest way to find us is to look for the Hanuman Mandir. We are right near there, c/o Hukam Chand. It’s a quiet village setting, which suits the kind of work we do. Healthcare should be close to home, so that’s why we’re here. We aren’t a big city clinic with shiny floors. Our office is simple and functional. We spend a lot of time talking to the villagers about basic health stuff. Sometimes we just sit outside and talk because it’s nicer than being under the lights. Ganaur is a good place to be. Everyone knows everyone, so news travels fast. If we are doing something, the whole village knows by noon. We try to keep things honest and straightforward. No medical jargon if we can help it. Just plain talk about how to stay healthy. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us who really care about the people in Teha. We don't have much in the way of fancy equipment, but we have a lot of time for people. That counts for something, we think. We’ve been here for a while and we’ve seen a lot, but we just keep going one day at a time. It is not about being the biggest, just about being there when the neighbors need a bit of advice on their health.
