Being over at No. 16-A in the Industrial Estate means we’re surrounded by all sorts of factories and big warehouses. System Packaging has been in this particular spot for quite a while now. It’s a noisy area with the constant sounds of heavy machines and loaders moving around the neighborhood. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to visit. Most of our floor space is taken up by our machines and large rolls of packaging material. It gets pretty hot inside the building during the summer months, and we usually have the big fans running all day. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust or grease on them by the time we finish a shift. We just focus on getting the packaging done right for our clients. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the afternoon fixing it ourselves. That’s just part of the daily routine here. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years, so we all know how the place runs. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we usually take our afternoon breaks. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. It’s a simple operation for simple people who just want to get by.
