Shree Krishna Marbles

You can find Shree Krishna Marbles right along the Delhi Road. We are situated near Khanna Colony, which is a pretty well-known area around here. Being on a major road like this means we get a lot of trucks passing by at all hours. The noise is something you just get used to after a few weeks of working here. Our yard is filled with all kinds of marble slabs that we’ve brought in over the months. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stacks so that the older stuff doesn't get buried under the new arrivals. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and carrying, and you definitely need to wear thick boots. The dust is a constant battle. We try to keep the office clean, but the white powder from the stone gets into every crack. Most of our customers are just regular folks from Khanna Colony or the nearby parts of town who are fixing up their houses. We don't do any big advertising. People usually just see the sign while they’re driving towards Delhi and decide to pull over. It’s a simple business. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we sit out front and watch the traffic when things are quiet. It’s just how we run things here at the shop on Delhi Road.
