Om Sai Mobile Clinic

Om Sai Mobile Clinic operates around the Rohtak Road area, specifically near the Mirch Mandi. We use the Suri Petrol Pump in Parbhu Nagar as a main landmark for where we are often parked or based. Because it is a mobile clinic, our space is quite different from a traditional hospital. We have to work inside a specially fitted vehicle that has all our equipment and supplies tucked into various corners. It is a very compact way of working, and we have to be very organized so we don't lose anything. The Parbhu Nagar area is very busy with the mandi nearby, so there are always trucks moving and people hauling sacks of spices or vegetables. The air around here often smells like diesel and chili peppers. We spend our days meeting people right where they are, which means we deal with the weather and the street noise directly. If it is hot, the interior of the van can get quite warm, so we try to find some shade near the petrol pump. The staff is used to this way of life and we like being out in the neighborhood instead of stuck in a big building. We don't have a fancy waiting room, so people usually just gather around the vehicle while they wait for their turn. It’s a practical and honest way to bring health services to the people on Rohtak Road.
