K.S.G'S Farm & Nursery

The sun comes up pretty early over here on Delhi Road. K.S.G'S Farm & Nursery is right opposite the Rahi Hotel 24, so we get a lot of people stopping by when they are traveling. The ground is almost always a bit damp because we are constantly watering the plants. My boots are usually covered in mud by ten in the morning. We spend a lot of time just moving pots around and checking on the saplings to see if they need more shade. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the big deliveries of soil come in. We don't have a big office, just a small shed where we keep the tools and take our lunch breaks. Sometimes the noise from the highway is a lot, but you get used to it after a few weeks. The plants seem to do okay regardless of the trucks passing by. We have some fruit trees and flowering bushes tucked away in the back. People like to walk around and just look at the greenery. It's nice to see something growing when everything else is just concrete. I spend most of my day outside rather than sitting down. The weather dictates what we do. If it rains, we move the delicate ones inside. If it’s hot, we stay near the hose. It's a simple way to spend the day and we like it that way. It keeps us busy and out in the fresh air.
